Due to scheduling conflicts the LEGOŽ
Experience and Star Wars LEGOŽ Build activities have been rescheduled.
The activities now take place on May 26, 2012 and it will be out last
activity before the summer.

The following is an updated list of
our LEGOŽ Star Wars inventory. These are the sets that your child
will access to in their entirety including minifigures when they
register for the Star Wars LEGOŽ Activity.

Wow, a long time since my last
update. Trust me though Brick Builders has been busy. On
April 21 I made a trip to Three Hills and offered the LEGOŽ Experience
Activity. Jill Guttridge invited me to set-up at the local play
school where I met a group of very enthusiastic "Little People".

Canada. This month in Red deer we will be offering 2
Activities together on May 12. The LEGOŽ Experience and the Star
Wars LEGOŽ Activities will both be offered this day. Please
register under Activities for your child's
preferred activity.

I updated all camp photos from the
week. If your child was not photographed it was due to technical
difficulty (i.e. poor camera work) or they were not interested in a
photo. Benton Allen spent 3 days working on his Star Wars
spacescape that really was a highlight of the week long camps. You
can see all the photos on our new FaceBook page,

Canada.
We were also featured again in the
Red Deer Advocate on Thursday. I will post a link if one comes
available.
Brick Builders is gearing up for a
busy spring. we will be making a couple of stops to smaller
Alberta centres this month, then back to Red Deer on May 12. That
event will have lots of energy as 2 camps will run at the same time with
their own dedicated space. I am looking forward to see how it

Thanks to all the great supporters
that came out on Sunday to enjoy the weather and the Kerry Wood Nature
Centre "Easter Spring Fling". It was great fun and I enjoyed
meeting a few new supporters.
The Brick Builders Spring Camps
started today and we enjoyed some great LEGOŽ building. The
afternoon Star Wars Camp started their group build of the Millennium
Falcon from the year 2000 and hopefully we will finish this set
tomorrow. If you are interested in your child joining us for our
camps on a drop-in basis for this week the drop-in for The LEGOŽ
Experience is $10.00 and from Wednesday to Friday your child can join us
while we build Star Wars LEGOŽ system sets. Please call me at

Brick Builders is proud to
announce that they will be apart of the activities of this year's
Kerry Wood Nature Centre "Easter Spring Fling". We are planning a
LEGOŽ build of a "spring time" animal. We hope you can join us for
this indoor activity.

Our annual Easter event. Full of crafts,
activities, prizes and our famous nature egg hunts, its a
fun-filled afternoon out with the family. Drop-in.

WOW, what an exciting and productive
activity today. My heartfelt "Thanks" out to the many people
that helped to sort out a large portion of LEGOŽ inventory. I
would estimate that 19 - 21 kilograms were sorted. What that means is
more LEGOŽ for participants to "Build their imagination", starting with
the Brick Builders Spring Break Camps. We are offering 2, week
long activities to keep your young builders enthused. Our camps are half
full so register today.

yesterdays LEGOŽ Experience activity. It has been really amazing
to watch the skills of regular participants improve over time. The
pictures are viewable on our

appear from our event. I would like to extend a thank you to all

I just posted pictures from
yesterdays Star Wars LEGOŽ Activity. They can be viewed on the
Brick Builders Canada Facebook page. While you are their please
take a moment to "Like Us". As noted, I was very impressed with
the builders that stuck to a project for the full 3 hours. LEGOŽ
is engaging, fun and can develop skills in perseverance and patience.
As you can see we are getting closer
to the Public School Spring Break.
Please take a moment to read about the camps we are offering for that
week. If you plan on attending, early registration is crucial so
that I may confirm that we have enough interest to offer the camps.

Brick
Builders Sort & Win Activity
March 31, 2012 was to be a Star Wars
focused camp on team builds. Instead I have seen a need to focus
more on organizing the remaining Brick Builders LEGOŽ inventory.
On March 31, 2012 we will be holding the Brick Builders Sort & Win
Activity. The Activity is free and involves participants helping
to sort LEGOŽ and in exchange for their time and effort a chance to win
LEGOŽ prizes. The grand prize is a new Star Wars LEGOŽ set #8128
Cad Bane's Speeder valued at over $60.00 cdn. There will also be 2
other smaller prizes to be awarded. The activity has a maximum of 20
participants between the ages of 8 and 14. If your son or daughter
would be interested in volunteering with Brick Builders for future
events like the Red Deer Children's Festival this is a good place to
start. Before registering your child please ensure they understand
that this is not a "building" activity. It is a chance to meet
other enthusiasts, to express their interest in volunteering for future
events and of course to win prizes.
Brick Builders LEGOŽ Spring
Camps
You can now register for our Spring
camp activities. We will be running 2 separate day camps all week form
April 9 - 13. The first camp from 10-12 daily is our classic LEGOŽ
Experience Activity. Participants will have access to a larger
Brick Builder LEGOŽ inventory to build their imagination. Other
activities will include custom car races and tower races.
The second activity is the Star Wars
LEGOŽ camp from 1 pm - 3pm. This camp will have a different format
and need to be discussed with any potential participants. In this
week long activity, participants will be group building iconic Star Wars
LEGOŽ sets. Participants will be given scavenger hunt lists and
will search for parts, working as a team to construct sets that have
been discontinued and have not been offered for several years.
Some potential sets include the UCS Tie Interceptor (#7181), the first
Millenium Falcon (#7190) or the first Republic Gunship (#7163). Pictures
will be taken as a group and individually to share their team building
experience.

LEGOŽ Star Wars Family & Friend
Fun Day (cancelled)
On March 31, 2012, Brick Builders
will be offering a Star Wars Family & Friend Fun Day. The activity
will involve working with a family member (mom/son, dad/daughter) or
friend, to piece together Star Wars LEGOŽ sets from Brick Builders
entire inventory. Each team will be given a Star Wars LEGOŽ instruction
booklet and a part inventory list to build a LEGOŽ set. There are
2 sessions, one in the morning running from (10:00 am - 1:00 PM), and
one in the afternoon from (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM). Each session will have a
maximum number of 10 teams. Please make sure both participants are
registered so that I can determine the number of teams participating.

The Star Wars Camps for February are full. Wow, that didn't take long. I am extremely proud to offer an activity for kids that is both
engaging and rewarding for it's educational and developmental focus. Obviously you have responded to allow me to offer these programs.

March Schedule
Brick Builders has updated the activity schedule for March. We are offering another Star Wars LegoŽ Camp on March
10th and an Experience Activity on March 24th. Please register on the
Activities page.
Spring Camp 2012
The Red Deer Public School System has a Spring Break from April 9 - 13. This year, Brick Builders will be
offering 2 week long activities to keep your child busy. From 10 am - 12 pm daily, we will be offering a LegoŽ Experience Camp.
This camp is focused on free builds and individualized creations. The Star Wars LegoŽ Camp will run from 1 pm - 4 pm daily.
This camp gives participants the opportunity to build Star Wars LegoŽ system sets and share their enthusiasm with other fans.
Please register early under
Activities
as the success of this camp will depend on early enrollment.

We had some awesome builders and I was very impressed with the girls that represented with some quality creations.
The next LegoŽ Experience takes place on February 25th. To register fill out a form found on the

Just a reminder that we also have the Star Wars Camps coming up in a few weeks. Both days are almost full so make
sure you get in a registration before maximum registration is reached.
